Change

When I think back from this Christmas to last, so much was differant. I was carrying burdens I shouldn't have been carrying by myself. I had friends I don't anymore. But to quote Green Day " It's something unpredictable, But in the end is right." If I had my way a lot of stuff that happened this year wouldn't have. But it did, and I'm ok with that. And I am stronger for what happened.

I love you all-

Camp Crosley

"Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)"
Green Day

Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go
So make the best of this test, and don't ask why(<----Yeah Annie asking questions is bad.) It's not a question, but a lesson learned in time

It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

So take the photographs, and still frames in your mind
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial
For what it's worth it was worth all the while

It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

This is for all you camp folk. I love you all to bits.

Blog Stuff

I've been tinkering with my blog setting today. I was hoping to change it so that there can be no "anonymous" comments, but anyone can still comment by giving a name. I'm not sure if it's possible.

But anyway, if anything is off about my blog that should be on or whatnot. Let me know.

BTW Boy bands fix everything.

Christmas

Happy Christmas everyone,

I'm thankful for a few key things right no that I would just like to throw out there.

My Dad, for sending that check of fun money.

My aunt, for bravely taking command of doing holiday preparations.

And my friends, for you guys are absolutely effing amazing. You are there for me regardless of whatever happens (I think). Thank you.

Couple unnamed shoutouts here.

For us I pray that we redetermine who we are in each other, whether it be you being a big brother to me, or just friends, or faces in the crowd. I really hope we're not just faces in the crowd.

For you I pray that things get better, that you're fixed. I like you healthy.

For you I pray that we're friends forever.

For you I pray that you stay yourself. Don't let anyone change you.

For you I pray that you become real, a real person. Someone people trust and want to trust.

And last but not least, for you I pray that whatever secrets or demons that are slowly destroying you, you find someone to confide in, that can really help you. I hope you realize how truly blessed you really are kid.

Congratulations to Jamie Lynn Spears

So perfect little Jamie Lynn is pregnant. She's joined ranks of so many teen girls. I do feel sorry for her though. I mean it's gotta suck dealing with something that big, and personal in your life, in front of the entire world. It's a fact of life. Teenagers will have sex. Condoms break and fail. The pill is only so effective. I guess in the end, those who chose to have sex are left holding the consequences. I guess the real tragedy in all this is that this didn't surprise so many people, including myself. We're so numb to the fact that teens get pregnant, and that children are raising children. Pray for the family, its all we can do.

BTW: this has gotta be a logistical nightmare for Disney.

Edit: I was talking with a friend tonight about this. She said she would abort the baby. I said I would put it up for adoption. I know we can't judge what we'd do and how we'd react. Neither of us ever plan on being in that situation. And hey we're beating a lot of the girls so far :P I think that adoption is the way to go if you can't take care of the baby yourself, but at the end of the day, I think both would be bitter pills to swallow. Imagine giving birth to your baby, then handing it off to another family to raise, thats gotta be heartwrenching? But getting an abortion. I can't fathom that either. It's killing what has potential to be a living breathing human being.

Happy Christmas everyone,
Allie

SNOW DAY!

This morning was interesting. Last night a two hour delay was announced, so I planned on sleeping in till about 9. Bobby-Jack calls and informs me there is no two hour delay, at 6 am. I listen to the radio and call him back when a two hour delay is indeed announced, call him a lying sack of crap, which he is not. Then he calls back again to inform me that is a two hour delay. So I am indeed very thankful that he would call me, risking headlessness or worse, at the chance of waking me up. I knew I loved that kid for a reason.

End of this....<3

Missions

Sunday Mike announced the mission trip for the summer. Habitat for humanity, for the third summer. Is it completely selfish if I don't want to do it? I have plans for my summer and they aren't staying in town. I have done habitat for two years. I hate the set-up of it. Is it selfish if I find my own trip someplace?

Habitat for humanity is a great organization. It's a great service project. I don't want a service project. I want a missions experiencewhere I deal with people. If I wanted a service project I'd do volunteer work at the church for my summer.

I feel selfish not wanting to do it.

argh.

37 degrees

Today it was 37 degrees out, which to my step mom sounds like hell. She'd be breaking out the fluffy coat, and warm hat and mittens and scarves. It was pretty warm for what it's been. Good thing too, cause I left my coat in moms' car on accident. I am thankful that. I hope the rest of winter is mild, ha ha. Someone laugh with me? It won't be. But due to an unfortunate series of events at tucker I will not be wearing a coat until after I leave tucker. I hope it's warmish til then. Not looking good for me though.

Kitty kitty kitty

So my cat is the essence of all things perfect. Ok not really, but he's pretty close. Like twenty minutes ago my annoying, stupid, semi-worthless dog was barking. He barks at everything. I ignored it for a bit, til it finally got on my nerves. I went upstairs to see what he was barking at. When three neighborhood dogs had barked my perfect kitty up a tree. It was saddening.

Ayee...

Today after school there was a meeting with Dr. Hendrix and Mr. Kirby regarding the lay-offs and such. It was the biggest load of bullshit I have ever heard. With that said I have heard Mr. Keller and Jack Gardener talking.

I do think that if this action "forces" good teachers to quit and/or retire, it will be the biggest tragedy of all. Forces was in quotations because they may feel that they do not want to be part of this mess.

Thats all for today. Let me know if you want to hear the gory details of the meetings.

I almost died today...ok not really.

I was in a minor car accident coming back to to the high school. Everyone is more or less all right. The girl in the front seat, Kirsti, went to the doctor for pain in the chestular region, and a jammed wrist. Kirsti has fastened her seatbelt like 30 seconds before the impact happened. She might well have gone flying through the windshield if she hadn't had it on. We were lucky, we were real lucky. The drivers grandmother takes adult classes at tucker Tuesday mornings and was there to talk to the cops. I thank God we were as lucky as we were.

Thats all for today folks. <3 you all.

Support Our Teachers

Have you ever asked for extra help from a teacher either before or after school? Have you ever had a teacher who volunteered to do something extra for the school like an academic team or National Honors Soceity? If you have you need to support our teachers. Our teachers work there butts off to educate us, well some anyway. Normally teachers have all the power, but now students and others in the community have all the power. If your teachers have ever helped you with the homework outside of class, just just been there, then you owe it to them now to support them.

I found a shirt I want

Cause the way the web page is designed I can't upload an image for you. It is found on this website. (Click the "this"). It's the one titled "Burning Love." The rest are just a bit to Catholic for me. Yep, I think it's cool. Again I reiterate, I wear an x-large in girl fit shirts.

Why do seniors care?

I've been asked why I care so much about the 58 lay-offs. (I"ll post the list as I know it at the end of this blog.)

I'm answering this question here. I care because I've worked my ass off for four years and had most of these teachers. They are wonderful people, who have remained loyal to the school through the ups and downs. They don't deserve this. They have sacrificed time and money to stick around this school. What is left is teachers who barely teach like Gunyan, Sheere, Micheal, and many others.

I encourage you guys to attend school board meetings, write letters, ask your parents to speak for you, and tell your teachers you appreciate them. Don't take your complaints to Kirby, I'm sure he doesn't like as much as anyone else. Take them to the MCS school board. Also if you are senior don't do anything that can sacrifice your graduation, it's not worth it if an administrator threatens graduation. Think carefully before you do anything, like walking out. There will be a lot of pressure on Kirby from Dr. Hendrix to punish anyone who breaks the rules for the sake of this matter.

Mr. Nukes has been teaching for 20+ years. He knows how to make kids want to play games in gym.

Mrs.Cawthorn, while I am not her biggest fan, she has also been teaching for twenty years.

Mr.Vermillion, is the cheer leading coach, which in itself is a huge job. On top of that he has a full teaching load, and three kids of his own. He helps out with some of the school plays.

Mrs.Mccune was my elementary school art teacher. She knows how to have fun. She is qualified to teach some of the advanced art classes.

Mrs.Shepler teaches an advanced art class or two and does it well. With these two art teachers gone, the art department has Mr. Gunyan left.......Nuff' said.

Mr.England has worked in the technologies department for 25 years.

Mrs.Bush is a first year teacher. I don't know her. But she is young enough to get another job.

Mr. Drook is someone I don't know.

Mrs. Lehman teaches Innovations which is a huge job involving many night practices and trips and many concerts.

Mr. Garret teaches all of the basic choir classes.

-Allie

I also think that Ms. Blossom, Mr. Porter, and there is one more science teacher laid off. If anyone has any names to add to the list let me know.
